Northern recognizes that tobacco and tobacco products are a health and/or safety hazard. This policy applies to all persons, including employees, physicians, patients, visitors, volunteers, contract workers, students, and tenants.

The use of cigarettes and all tobacco products is prohibited on any of Northern’s campuses. This includes all buildings, parking lots and parking areas, and roadways that run through and/or surround any Northern campus or property. The use of cigarettes and all tobacco products is also prohibited in all hospital owned vehicles or any vehicle on Northern campuses.
